► CHINA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTONS

A trip to China is for many a trip of a lifetime and we know that you want to get your tour just right for you. The listing of questions below is designed to over the basics that we get asked a lot. Of course, we know that this is a far from exhaustive list so please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions you may have as we are always delighted to help create an extraordinary China experience for you.

  ► CAN YOUR TOURS BE TAILORED?

All our China tours can be tailored to meet your requirements. Please do not hesitate to make any requests during the pre-booking process. Common requests are additional nights, tours, destinations, catering to special interests and upgrading hotels.

  ► DO YOU OFFER GROUP TOURS?

All our China tours are private and we do NOT offer group tours to China although if you have  private group we can tailor and itinerary just for your group. All our trips offer flexibility and a higher quality China experience than a conventional join up group tour can.

  ► CAN YOU BOOK INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS? 

Our trips do not automatically include international flights however we can book these for you under our ATOL license. If you prefer to book these yourself that is also fine. We don’t automatically include international flight quotes as we need to know which airport you would like to depart from and prices vary by date. We are a British Airways appointed operator as well as working with other airlines.

  ► IS IT SAFE TO BOOK WITH YOU?

All our tours come with full financial protection through our ATOL license (number 10287) and ABTA membership (number Y1699) giving you peace of mind for all payments you make to us.

  ► DO YOU OFFER ALTERNATIVE HOTELS AND UPGRADES? 

All hotels we use are hand-picked by us with location, quality, value and consistency being the main criteria. We have visited all the hotels we use as standard in our trips. Of course, if you would like to upgrade hotels or have your own preferences you would like us to book please just let us know. Most hotels include buffet western breakfasts. We can book single, double or twin rooms and many hotels also have suites and other room upgrades possible. You can see our range of hand-picked hotels here.

  ► ARE YOUR GUIDES PROFESSIONAL? 

We understand that the quality of guide can make or break a trip. We only use professional, licensed guides on our tours and go to great lengths to make sure we only use the best guides available for your trip. All our guides are instructed to avoid unwanted “shopping opportunities” so common on many tours.

  ► WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

It is advisable to book your trip as far ahead as you can as the best hotels and cheapest international air fares fill up long in advance. Making a booking with is an easy process and we are here to help every step of the way! See our booking section for more details.

  ► WHAT HAPPENS ONCE WE MAKE A BOOKING?

On taking a booking we will confirm as many of the services as can be at that point and then ask you for a £250 per person deposit with the final balance payment due 60 days before your trip start date with us. On booking we will also offer advice about obtaining the visas if this has not been covered before and about 1 month before your trip with us starts we will send you our comprehensive Trip Guidebook tailored to your specific trip with us.   ► ARE ENTRANCE FEES INCLUDED TO SIGHTS?

The entrance fees to all sights listed in the inclusions section of this dossier are included in the price of this trip.

  ► WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS? 

On completing our booking forms we will quickly confirm all services that can be confirmed at that time and send an invoice for the deposit payment of £ 250 per person plus any international flights booked through us. The balance payment is due 60 days before your trip with is begins. Full booking terms and conditions can be viewed here.

  ► HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I NEED TO TAKE WITH ME? 

Always a hard questions to answer but we think around £ 20 upwards per person per day although it is easy to spend more than this in China's big cities.

  ► WHY SHOULD WE BOOK A TRIP WITH YOU?

We took our first trip to China in 1997 and since then have lived and worked there for extended periods. We have travelled across much of China and visit the main destinations on a regular basis. We are passionate about sharing our experiences and ensuring you have a superb holiday so that you come back as keen on China as we are.
