There is such an enormous variety of food available in China that it is almost certain there will be dishes your children will love to eat. Chinese restaurants are very child friendly and so cater for their tastes. Children also tend to be able to pick up chop stick techniques more quickly than adults! Chinese cuisine is almost always cooked fresh to order and tummy issues are consequently rare.
Yes. There is no reason to worry about taking your child to China that there is any other destination in the Far East or elsewhere.
Perhaps due to China’s one child policy you will find your children will be regarded (to use a local phrase) as “Little Emperors.” Children are welcome wherever you go in China and will help enormously in breaking the ice with local people who will invariably want to be photographed with them!
