Dalian is consistently voted China’s most liveable city and is also one of its most prosperous. Set on the Yellow Sea it escapes some of the summer heat that much of the rest of Northern China experiences and in July and August attracts throngs of beach lovers. Top Attractions in Dalian
Beaches if you are there at the right time of year. Fujiazhuang Beach in deep bay with pebbly sand, Bangchuidao Jingqu beach is a secluded sandy beach by the villas used by party officials. Golden Stone Beach is good with nice little coves and rock formations. For museum lovers the Dalian Modern Museum can make for an enlightening visit. Zhongshan Square is vast and surrounded by buildings from the 1900’s and is a popular meeting point in the city – a good place to people watch.
