This section of our destination guide focuses on what are considered the “must see” sights of China, all ideal for a first time visit offering the highlights of China along with a good amount of variety. This selection offers the best of the cities and countryside, history and culture all of which are easily accessible for an approximately 2 week tour that will give a well rounded impression of China as well as offering up classic China holidays. Out of this list the top destinations would be Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin and Yangshuo, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

We feel an ideal first time trip will cover a good proportion of these places with several of them including Pingyao and Huangshan also being considered more off the beaten track options as well yet offering a classic tour experience.
